
Northwest Territories Nominee Program(NTNP)
Northwest operates the Northwest Territories Nominee Program(NTNP) that nominates people for permanent residence. Nominees must have skills to fill job shortages or be planning to buy or start a business in Northwest. If you are nominated through the program, you may apply for permanent residence status under different streams.
The Northwest Territories Nominee Program(NTNP) accepts applications under two main immigration categories:
- Business Immigration
- Employer Driven Program
SKILLS IMMIGRATION
Northwest Territories Nominee Program is divided into a number of sub-categories:
Skilled Worker Category
This sub-category is for individuals who have received an eligible job offer in a skilled occupation. Applicants must have already worked in the position in the Northwest Territories for a minimum of six months.
Northwest Territories-Express Entry stream
The NTNP Express Entry stream for skilled workers is designed to nominate Express Entry Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the Northwest Territories’s skilled worker stream. Foreign workers who have been accepted into the federal Express Entry pool may apply for permanent residency.
Critical Impact worker stream
Under this category an applicant possess valid job-offer in a semi-skilled or unskilled position from Northwest Territories employer. Applicants must have at-least six month work experience in Northwest Territories .
Business Stream
Foreign business owners and entrepreneurs can apply to run their business in Northwest Territories via the Business Nominee Program. An applicant must have proven business experience who want to start a new business, sufficient funds business ,create new jobs and provide a benefit to economic territory
