
Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program(NLPNP)
The NLPNP is Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Nominee Program. Through this program, prospective immigrants with the skills and experience targeted by the province may receive Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Nominee certificate, which will allow that foreign national to apply for Canadian permanent residence with processing times that are faster than other Canadian immigration classes.
SKILLS IMMIGRATION
The NLPNP accepts applications under the following immigration categories:
Skilled Worker Category
Under this category an individual must have received an eligible job offer in a skilled occupation. Workers are expected to have two years of experience in their skilled occupation.
International Entrepreneur Category
This category targets qualified foreign entrepreneurs who are interested in buying and currently managing a business that contribute a significant benefit to New Brunswick. Eligible candidiates must operate their business for a year while on a temporary work permit before pursuing a provincial nomination.
International Graduates, Canadian Degree Category
An individuals must recently graduated from an eligible Canadian university and obtain a valid post-graduate work permit. Applicants must have either a current job offer from Newfoundland and Labrador employer , and must be working in their field of study at the time of application is submitted.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
This stream offers a pathway to reside in Newfoundland and Labrador permanently for individuals who have graduated from a recognized academic institution in Newfoundland and Labrador, and have started or acquired a business in province. An expression of interest(EOI) must be submitted to check the eligibility criteria that will be based on age, language, education, work experience, the economic benefit to Newfoundland and Labrador
Atlantic immigration Pilot
Newfoundland and Labrador is one of the four participating Atlantic provinces working with Government of Canada to recruit a foreign workers to meet labour market shortages in specific occupations. An applicant can be in Canada or outside Canada .
